A Mission of Access & Education
Driven by a nonprofit ethos, PBCB’s mission is to make boating, marine education, and environmental awareness accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or financial barriers. Over the years, it’s grown from humble beginnings operating out of a pickup truck with donated boats to a vibrant campus with a fleet of more than 70 watercraft.
Programs include youth sailing, adult and family sailing, adaptive sailing and paddling, and STEM-driven marine science education. For many local families and summer visitors, PBCB offers a summer camp experience that teaches not only how to navigate the water, but also how to respect and understand the coastal ecosystem.
Boating, Rentals & Campus Life
Members and pass holders can rent a variety of vessels like kayaks, sailboats, catboats, and dinghies and explore Pleasant Bay at their own pace. The campus also includes classic Cape Cod style waterfront cottages, giving members and guests the option to stay on site and wake up to serene water views.
